Thanksgiving Wines

Thanksgiving Wines

Turkey and all the trimmings provide the backdrop for a multitude of wines.  Champagne or white wine for the hors d'oeuvres or antipasto, a good Italian red for the lasagna (optional--replace with  your traditional favorite), turkey complements almost any wine--we like Pinot Noir or Chardonnay.  Amarone or Port with the cheese course and Muscat, Late Harvest Riesling, Sauternes or Asti for dessert!  Here are some of our recommendations:

2016 Rocca Bianca Pinot Grigio $8.99 $97.00
At our house, the appetizers are many and varied--shrimp, scallops, frito misto and other Italian delicacies call for a versatile aperitif wine. This extraordinary Pinot Grigio fills the bill.  It's become one of SOHO's best selling wines.
